Western Sahara is a disputed territory and not included in the standard Moroccan itinerary. Mountain hiking and desert travel require specialist guides, seasonal access checks and appropriate transport. A comprehensive, region-by-region Moroccan journey through imperial cities, medinas, kasbah valleys, the High Atlas, Sahara-edge dunes and the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts. Western Sahara is not marketed as an ordinary Morocco stop.
