Places to visit in Burundi
Do not route into the western border communes, Kibira National Park or other areas covered by current warnings; every proposed stop requires renewed security review. A modular cultural and lake-focused route through Bujumbura, Gitega, the central plateau and eastern protected areas. Western border communes and Kibira access are deliberately excluded because of current security warnings; road, fuel and permit conditions require checking.
