IMPORTANT: Avoid non-essential travel near Thailand-Cambodia land border (20 km under current UK advice); closed border temples and crossings are not included. Deep south provinces and Myanmar frontier require separate risk screening and are not ordinary travel options. Monsoon, marine park closures and wildlife safeguards affect island excursions. Extensive regional exploration through Bangkok and the central plains, northern Lanna cities, Isan heritage, eastern islands, the Gulf and Andaman coasts. Some border regions are restricted; long-distance islands and northern highlands require separate transfers and seasonal plans.
